As noted elsewhere, I've been contributing beer columns to Food & Dining Magazine almost from the beginning, starting around 2005 if memory serves. Lately I've been writing features and profiles, and it's been quite the education at my advanced age.
One key to understanding the impact of this publication is something not always apparent to metro residents, who might see the current issue at eateries and bookstores, but don't notice its placement in hotel rooms.
Obviously, if you live here, chances are you're not staying in a hotel.
Louisville metro's food and drink scene is excellent by any standard, and we punch above our weight in terms of population. How many visitors these past 15 years have been guided to our abundant and acclaimed eateries and watering holes by this magazine in their hotel rooms?
We're looking forward to something different.
May 30: Food & Dining 15 Year Anniversary & Summer Issue Release Party

Never once has F&D presented distribution at New Albany's only bookstore. Edit.
