Do you have something to say about City-Hall-at-Reisz-Furniture? Come to a public input meeting on May 24 and sound off.

From Vicki Glotzbach, City Clerk:

The New Albany City Council Reisz Property Committee will hold a public information session to discuss and receive public input on G-18-06 refarding the City Hall Project at the Reisz Furniture Building. The meeting will be held on Thursday, May 24, 2018 from 2:00-3:00 p.m. in the third floor assembly room of the City-County Building. Should you have any questions regarding this hearing, please contact the City Clerk's Office at 812.948.5336.

From Al Knable, city council president:

Please note: all meetings of this committee-excluding a brief organizational meeting with Council Attorney present (at which committee shall not receive information, deliberate nor make recommendations), will be public in accordance with “open door” law requirements.

Knable says he hopes to have one or two additional public committee meetings at different days and times before returning for a vote on the City Hall relocation plan. The council committee members include Knable (Republican), Bob Caesar (Democrat) and David Barksdale (Historic Preservation at Any Cost).
