10 Days in November.

Beginning tonight with a live Gang of Four performance, and ending with a must-see movie premiere on the 16th, there are consciousness-raising events aplenty in New Albany over the next week and a half.

Monday, November 7, 2005
New Albany’s City Council meets on the third floor of the City-County Building. 3rd District CM Steve Price is expected to vote “no.”

Thursday, November 10
The Main Street Preservation Association is gathering information in preparation for a “Small Area Plan” to encompass the historic district and some adjacent areas. 3rd District CM Steve Price is expected to vote “no.” For the complete scoop:

Tuesday, November 15
Drinking Liberally comes to Rich O’s for a 7:00 p.m. gathering. Readers who agree with the organization’s stated aim of spreading democracy “one pint at a time” are encouraged to attend. 3rd District CM Steve Price is expected to vote “no.”

Previously in NAC, we told you that CFP and Destinations Booksellers are to screen "Wal-Mart: The High Cost of Low Price" documentary film on Nov. 16. It’s an outdoor showing (at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m.) at the Farmers’ Market, corner of Bank and Market in downtown New Albany. 3rd District CM Steve Price is expected – you guessed it -- to vote “no.”
