A friend uncovered these snippets of the time 65 years ago when an untolled bridge (Clark Memorial) was a godsend for Southern Indiana, and New Albany still had its own Chamber of Commerce.
Strikingly, the availability of public housing was considered an indicator of growth progress, but the units being constructed at the time were segregated ... in Indiana, mind you.
Six and a half decades later, are we making progress?
Thanks, B.
