I need to see this one. The teaser somehow reminds me of New Albany.
Last night, we actually did view a Czech film: Milos Forman's classic 1967 political allegory, "The Firemen's Ball." It also reminds me of New Albany. A bumbling committee of firemen in a small, anonymous, Communist-era town stage a gala in tribute to their terminally ill former director, and everything imaginable proceeds to go wrong. One clip cannot do it justice, but in this one, the committee grapples with criteria for selecting the winner of the beauty contest.
