C'mon, people: Kerry Stemler needs to have a bridge named after him.

LEO Weekly wrote: "If the Kentucky General Assembly really names the new downtown bridge after Ronald Reagan, the Fake Issue is going to write itself.

I replied:

I'm for naming it the Kerry Stemler Toll Bridge ... so we never, ever forget who's responsible.

WHAS-11 both reports the story, and detects the irony.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – Two Kentucky senators have introduced a bill to find a name for the new downtown Ohio River Bridge that is expected to open in 2016.

Republicans Dan Seum and Jimmy Higdon are attempting to get the bridge named ‘The Ronald W. Reagan Memorial Bridge.’

Ronald Reagan was the 40th President of the United States. He died in 2004.

Reagan was a proponent for slashing taxes may have had mixed feeling about having his name on a bridge that is set to be tolled for decades.
