Chief Todd Bailey did the research as promised, and produced what most of us would have guessed: Nothing, in that in typical slothful fashion, the city of New Albany has not bothered itself with the question -- ever.
Perhaps inadvertently, the street commissioner tells us something else we already knew, too: Nothing, as in nothing's going to happen until after Jeff Speck provides political cover.

NEW ALBANY — New Albany Police Chief Todd Bailey hasn’t located any city ordinances that restrict vehicle weight, though he said Tuesday he would support working with local officials on such restriction measures.
Residents approached the New Albany Board of Public Works and Safety last week about tractor-trailer traffic downtown.
