Credit candidate Oakley for dining independently.

6th district GOP council candidate Matt Oakley came in for lunch on Wednesday, and we had a good chat about localism, independent business and whether or not Papa John belongs in the discussion. Matt was a good sport about PizzaGate, so here's to equal time.

PizzaGate: Just making a point about localization, Candidate Oakley. Nothing more, nothing less.

I'm trying to figure out why candidate Oakley is a candidate. I've found no website for his campaign. I've received nothing in the mail that says why he is running and what he believes in. Nothing left at my door. I've been going to council meetings for 5 years and have never met him.

Is it just a game to him? Something to win? Something to pad his resume with? Must be because he has done nothing but put up signs. Both of the other candidates for the 6th district seat have at least made attempts to get information about themselves and what they want to do as a council member to the voters. One of the candidates, Wilkerson, has been a regular at council meetings for quite some time.

Sorry, Mr. Oakley, I don't consider it just a game.

Mark, when he runs of out of "hedge" room, I bet he'll say something like: "I'm running because I just love NA so much" That one statement seems to be all it takes to be elected to city hall.

I'm tempted to run so I can campaign on my "I hate NA" platform.

That would be uproariously funny, G, not to mention informative.

Sorry Gina, but you would probably be denied for a pre-existing condition. You have been stricken with actually understanding things that are important. That could not possibly be covered by city insurance.

wilkinson is an England insider, that's good enough reason to vote for Oakley

Now that's an example of critical thinking. Not.
