If you want to plant a new tree there, I've got some Golden Rain Tree seedlings and I'll be happy to give you one. Same offer goes to anyone else who wants to plant a tree.
Oh, I forgot--I've got a bunch of Box Elder saplings too. Some are pretty good size. Free to a good home :)

Yes, I hope you're going to replant with something apropos - native hardwood? Box Elder is a big pollen maker, would not recommend for city canopy.
