I thought the Lakers would win, but this series was closer than the final 4-1 count indicates. No more NBA basketball for daddy ... until November?
Time to return to baseball.

New Albany is a state of mind … but whose? Since 2004, we’ve been observing the contemporary scene in this slowly awakening old river town. If it’s true that a pre-digital stopped clock is right twice a day, when will New Albany learn to tell time?

Wimbledon starts on the 22nd.
US Men's Soccer team starts Confederations Cup play against Italy this today. They play Egypt on Thursday and Brazil on Sunday to end group play. This is a tourney that's kind of a warmup for next summers World Cup in South Africa.
It's easy to pick Nadal or Federer for Wimbledon, but I'm going with Andy Murray. Yes, I know he's English and the English are not supposed to win Wimbledon, but I think this is the year...
Sorry, correction...
US plays Brazil on Thursday and Egypt on Sunday. All games are on ESPN 2. Today's game is at 2:30.
Nascar is heating up.
Murray's been playing really well, just winning the Queens Club warm up event yesterday so I can't disagree.
He's a Scot, though. You can get away with calling him British but English is just wishful thinking in London. Hurumph.
"England forever. Scotland just a wee bit longer."
Don't forget the Tour de France....it starts July 4th in Monaco. It's on tv on the Versus channel
Now ya talkin'.
Good call, Bob. I will watch the tour and be overcome with nostalgia.
Roger, correct me if I am wrong, but I believe I saw your logo on the backs of some litte leaguers at Mt. Tabor. I applaud your support of our kids and their ball park.
The US took a ridiculous beating at the hands of the defending world champs today, 3-1. Can't wait to see what Brazil does to us...
