No, really, I'm not suggesting that we nationalize churches and turn them into breweries, but if the church has already gone out of business, and the area is ripe for renewal ... well, then why not make the building available for investment by a brewery (in this case, Jopen of Haarlem, Netherlands), and surround it with shopping, apartments and offices?
It's what I always planned to do opposite Scribner Place with the millions in kickback money coming from City Hall. Whatever happened to that, anyway?
Some of you certainly have wished that I not return, and many of these people have filed for city council election slots since my brief Benelux excursion began. Sorry, but this is going to be too much fun, isn't it? I just couldn't miss a second.
