Tonight's Buy Local/NA Independent business meeting will be held upstairs at Wick's on State Street, downtown. Follow this link for the agenda.
Come as early as 6:00 p.m. to chat and brainstorm, with the official meeting at 7:00 p.m., and please share this information with other business owners.
As a tip-off, and to get this ball rolling, it is my opinion that geographically, New Albany's city limits define participation, and that "independent" means that decisions are taken locally (read the Louisville Independent Business Alliance's requirements, here). Obviously, these and many other matters stand to be considered and discussed in the coming weeks.

Love that LIBA has the "Supporter" designation. I think there are a lot of individuals who would like to see the Buy Local effort succeed, and want to help beyond just patronizing local businesses, which many are doing already.

This is Bloomington's organization which is what I've been using as my template. They have Business, Sustaining, Individual and Family memberships. No one that wants to contribute and help will be left out.
