Portland's sewers right as rain, by Dennis Cauchon (USA Today)
The most surprising tourist attraction in Portland, Ore., is its storm sewer system.

"Storm-water runoff is the No. 1 cause of water pollution in suburban and rural areas. "
Great link - thank you. I can't believe New Albany is trying to figure out how much more debt it can shoulder for sewers and stormwater while simultaneously doing ZERO to relieve stress on the system. If the former NA country Club were converted to a storm basin with a native hardwood forest, there would not be a single storm water problem in downtown. It would be sooo much cheaper and in the long run add so much to the city to say - we get it, we care about our environment.
I do not support any plan that does not incorporate the present standard of conservation and other green processes and incentives.
