Council meeting tonight -- stadium cushions optional

Here is the agenda for the June 6 City Council meeting, which will begin with a public hearing at 7:15 p.m., to be followed by the regular proceedings at 7:30 p.m.

The public is invited to come early and get the best folding metal chairs.

We’re still working on the popcorn and lemonade concession.

According to Mark Felt, recently revealed as the “Deep Throat” informant of Watergate fame, tonight’s council meeting will be highlighted by a local businesswoman’s insistence that the council “follow the money,” an East End councilman’s response that “we ain’t got no money,” and CM Cappuccino’s proposal that the YMCA assume responsibility for the annual budget ‘cuz they’re better with money, anyway.

Golly, how does Mr. Felt manage to know all these things?
