Uptown -- not Midtown, although Downtown -- Art.
We've been hearing about it for a while. The redubbed 426 Creative Center's first occupant is called Uptown Art, and the Business First article notes an original location in Louisville on Bardstown Road.
BI also preview the New Albany location.
Uptown Art's website reveals there are a dozen other franchisees located throughout the Southeast.
Earlier this week, there was a big splash coming from the corner of Elm and Pearl: Jewelry maker to add 80 jobs in New Albany (Courier-Journal). 426 reboot continues.

As Allen filled out the entry forms for yet another Develop New Albany Pillar Award, he asked to no one in particular, "Why let those Knobs boys have all the fun and profit?"
Commercial Building out, 426 Creative Center in.
The Building formerly known as the Commercial Building has been rebranded. According to what I was told, the first floor space between the red truck and the salon will be rented in Mellwood Arts fashion. It has yet to be determined which, if any, of the many parking/no parking signs sprouting like weeds in the vicinity is accurate, but we'll leave it to that most trustworthy of all city government departments, the non-enforcement regime.
