"This is really the center of New Albany and we are 200 years old, so part of our plan is to make sure we are revitalizing the core," said New Albany Mayor Jeff Gahan.
"You can play mini league football, you can play softball, you can play baseball," said Gahan.
Gahan says he's excited to see how this develop revitalizes the neighborhood. A few miles away on Daisy Lane, a brand new water park is in the construction phase.
"It will have a lazy river, it will have a general activities area and some really power body slides, as well as a splash pad," said Gahan.

I wonder if he has a plan for revitalizing Spring Street. It is becoming more like a washboard all the time. Could it be the trucks??
