Merchant Mixer gatherings are informal chats held in lieu of any single organization being able (or willing) to convince downtown merchants (of whom I'm one) that unity rather than cliquishness better serves our collective interests.
These unofficial discussions can be revealing, as was the case back in July, 2011, when Bob Caesar uttered the immortal words: "I am for change. Change every street to two way (but) not Pearl Street. Pearl Street will NOT be two way. It's more convenient for people to park without having to drive around the block."
The proximity of wine is an added inducement, and I'll do my best to be there on Wednesday.
Please join us for the Merchant Mixer in the hall above the Winery this Wednesday at 5:15. You can bring a glass of wine up if you so choose. And please spread the word. The Mixer is for discussion about issues that affect New Albany downtown and uptown merchants.
