Open thread: City council meeting, Monday, July 3.

I had a previous engagement, Jeff's up on his roof doing repair work and Randy's covering tonight's council meeting.

Highlights;

1) Schmidt's resolution failed with a 5 to 3 vote with Larry Kochert being the 5th no vote. Blevins was absent.

2) Schmidt became ill following this vote and left the meeting.

3) Coffey's full time City Attorney ordinance failed with a 4 to 3 vote on the second reading. Third reading was postponed to a later date.

4) There was at least two instances of note passing between members of the audience and the council table during the voting/discussion segment of the official meeting.

There were some heated discussions about this after the meeting both at the table and in the gallary.

I thought that's why they moved the Valla Cam the first time ...

For the record, the city does not issue press credentials. NA Confidential does, however, possess the necessary credentials. It took a few more years after July 4th, 1776, to get them, but let me refer you to Amendment 1 of The Constitution of the United States of America.

A public record is, duh, public.

To me, it's even funnier than that. Mrs. Schmidt sends a steady stream of information in the direction of the faux academic at Freedom to Srceech (and the screaming SOLNA-ites), and I suspect more than a few of them have been genuine leaks.
