Public Radio's Weston under fire as saints continue marching in

From the realm of the pleasantly unexpected comes news that the board of directors of Louisville’s Public Radio Partnership will “meet today to consider replacing longtime president Gerry Weston, who oversees Louisville's three public FM radio stations.”

NA Confidential shall make no attempt to be impartial in this matter, as it regards Weston, the architect of midday jazz’s removal from WFPK-91.9 one year ago, as Jazz-Killing Gerry, vicarious and untrustworthy besmircher of the memory of the legendary Phil Bailey, and persona non grata in the admittedly more limited sense of potential visitors to the public house.

Or, as the proverb goes, he who spits on the grave of an icon may someday experience dancing on his own.

For a few year-old thoughts on Jazz-Killing Gerry:

We've since learned that the storm has pased and Weston will be keeping his job.

Without a shred of impartiality, NA Confidential will continue to monitor the Jazz-Killing Gerry situation.
