Al Goodman’s effort to rejuvenate the old Moser Tannery complex has taken a severe hit from the forces of nature (and perhaps the fire department, albeit unintentionally).
Part of the tannery building’s roof has collapsed, destroying the incredible tanning pits inside that might have formed the core of Goodman’s envisioned tanning museum.
The roof may have been weakened by our recent snow and ice accumulation, and further water damage incurred when the fire department put out a small blaze in the complex may have inadvertently hastened the effects of gravity, leading to the collapse.

Hey Roger,
I hadn't heard that yet - what a shame. I met with him and toured the property just a couple of months ago while I was on my New Albany Day Out. It was a neat (if difficult) idea he had in mind. Hope he had excellent PC insurance.
