Uptown -- not Midtown, although Downtown -- Art.

We've been hearing about it for a while. The redubbed 426 Creative Center's first occupant is called Uptown Art, and the Business First article notes an original location in Louisville on Bardstown Road.

BI also preview the New Albany location.

Uptown Art's website reveals there are a dozen other franchisees located throughout the Southeast.

Earlier this week, there was a big splash coming from the corner of Elm and Pearl: Jewelry maker to add 80 jobs in New Albany (Courier-Journal). Combined with the success of Dragon King Daughter's success to date, all these developments illustrate downtown revitalization moving northward. Perhaps I need to think about opening a beer garden for all these thirsty people.

Wait ... already on it.
