Dust in the Wind Turbines: Welcome Closer to Home, Carl Malysz.

Thanks, M; I needed an excuse to repost what just might be my favorite city council photo ever (2011).

Did a little research on the company making the windmill generators. They moved to North Vernon. Still in business but losing their shirt. Stock price is $0.0001, down from $0.15 to start the year. Their losses for the past 3 years went from -$2.5 mil in '12, -$4.8 mil in 13, and -$11.2 mil in 14. They have a NEGATIVE net worth of $5,800.000.

They wanted New Albany to co-sign their loan a few years ago. At least the council seems to have gotten that one correct.

That's amazing. Thanks.

I still think it's a cool idea and they still could come out of it, but they are now requiring a 50% down payment on new orders. Just another instance of a poor cash position. Poorer countries are not going to be able to do that and/or risk losing their deposit to a bankrupt company.
