Arrival of a Train at La Ciotat (1896).
Did the film's watchers really panic when the filmed train came tearing around the bend?
It is clear that at least one viewer did: Bob Caesar's great-grandfather, seeing the short film at The Grand in 1901, was so terrified that he vowed: Nothing new, nothing different ... ever again ... gotta make sure and pass this on to my kinfolk ...
