We were standing in front of Habana Blues last night at about 10:15 p.m., and Mrs. Confidential pointed to a State Trooper traveling eastbound on Market, waiting for the stop light to change. What neither of us saw until seconds later was the vehicle in the same lane as the State Trooper, approaching him from the other side of the light -- which is to say, going the wrong way on the one-way street.
Mayoral and council candidates, kindly take note: The one-way street grid needs to change, and now. Four years have been wasted. Can we just get this done, and help the urban core return to functioning as it was intended? Or, do we permit Bob Caesar to retain veto power over the 21st century?
