My own busy schedule, coupled with the annual "Beer and Sweat" homebrewing party in Cincinnati on the same day, served to dissuade me from organizing a "World of Flavor" beer segment as a portion of the proceedings, but at least NABC beers will be on tap at three of the four downtown estaurants, and there's always next year to make the fest grow.
It looks like cooler temperatures for Saturday, so I'll be out and about. Hope to see you there.

That, Ceece, is an appropriate question. I'm not sure about the answer. I went so long without hearing anything that I'd assumed it wasn't going to happen at all. It isn't often that I worry about picking my words carefully, but this is one of those times. Perhaps more info will be forthcoming.

Bluegill: Forgot about it; change inserted. We're donating some backstage performer beer for it, and I'm guessing the remainder of the concessions are running through the Rustic Frog.
IAH & AFW: Ouch! That lip biting sure does hurt, but don't forget that HB's sore because we shouldn't pile on the more conspicuous examples of right-wing hypocrisy.

Major kudos to the Peak organizers but, without local brews on tap, the connotation of concessions changes entirely.
Assuming I have the story straight, the organizers approached NABC to get beer for the backstage performer area, which is perfectly fine, and we're eager to assist.
However, lacking more specific information and reading the promos literally (it's "at" the Rustic Frog, a licensed facility), I'm guessing that the concessions are going to be passing through the Frog, which means that they would have to approach us for local beer to vend. We could then sell it to them and deliver.
At the Rustic Frog website, there are Budweiser frogs prominently displayed. Let's just say that I'm not holding my breath, but would be overjoyed to sell them beer if they so desired.

A little disheartening at the "festival" we arrived to find a handful of onlookers on the floodwall, an officer perched on a bicycle, and a large lack of bbq.
I saw a scattering of familiar faces, and was warned to stay away from the fish. (apparently a reference to the fact that the only fish to be found was still swimming in the river.)
Maybe next year with better communication and advanced notice this could go better.
Spend the evening instead on the patio at Conner's Place.

Long story short: You are correct. Hopefully, collective lessons learned and improvement next year.
Short story long: I sat at the Connor's Place bar next to a man whose entire discussion up to that point had focused on his engine's oil pressure. He ordered an NABC Community Dark to drink. When the bartender explained that it was locally produced, he responded that that was the entire reason why he ordered it.
Obvious differences aside, he and I got along smashingly. As difficult as it may have been to tell, that was the intended general spirit of the evening.
The familiar faces are having an impact, even if it's not anywhere near as quickly as some of us would like.
Thanks for showing up. Please continue to do so. I'll be there, too.
No need to worry, we will go or attempt to go to everything that is attempted to occur.
By the way, I love the addition of the corn hole on the patio at conners!
