Yay! Suddeath espouses governmental transparency! But in Glasgow, not New Albany!

Apparently the Glasgow KY Police Department doesn't run year-round website ads in the Glasgow Daily Times.

Suddeath: Why the secrecy behind the GPD headquarters move?, by Daniel Suddeath (Glasgow Daily Times)

... In case you couldn't tell, I'm not a big fan of closed-door meetings. As mentioned earlier, they are needed at times, but shielding taxpayers from how their money is being spent seems to defy the spirit of democracy.

The new headquarters will likely be just fine, and allowing for more public input may not have changed the vote, but in the future, city officials should spend as much time talking in public about a taxpayer-funded project as they do behind closed doors.
