New Albany's National Heritage Area will preserve the habitat of Democratic Party grandees.

During the course of reading and writing about Wheeling, West Virginia, I became reacquainted with the concept of a National Heritage Area (NHA).

Wikipedia explains Wheeling's NHA in simple language here.

A full list of NHAs in the USA is here.

If a "National Heritage Area is a site designated by United States and intended to encourage historic preservation of the area and an appreciation of the history and heritage of the site," and if New Albany's heritage ... nah, never mind. We'd just end up prattling on about steamboats -- again.
