Jonathon Stalls prioritizes walking in ways you may not have considered.

Shawn Vest brought this to my attention, noting that Stalls stopped at Charlestown Pizza Company during his walk across America.

Basically and ungrammatically, this is where my own head is at -- not to mention my feet.

Rebounding Wins: Jonathon Stalls, by Cindy Chang

Jonathon Stalls started Walk2Connect shortly after completing his 8.5 month 3030 mile walk across the United States in 2010.

If you could solve any problem facing our world today, what would it be and why?

Of course it’s walking related!

I want our culture to prioritize the art of walking as a credible, proven, and intrinsic tool for connecting, healing, and shaping some of our greatest local and global challenges.

I challenge each person reading this piece to block out 1-2 hours sometime soon to walk at least 2-3 miles in one direction. Make it a round trip coming back a different way, take the bus, or have a friend pick you up. Take notice of how you feel inside, how you’re connecting with neighbors/others, how you’re noticing the details on your route. It will change you, and I so deeply believe it can help change us.
