"Covid-19: Why travel will never be the same" (video from The Economist).



The video isn't quite as depressing as I imagined at first glance. My primary concern is international travel; according to the correspondent, these should remain competitive, which will make big fare increases less likely. He also points out that airlines are being forced into greater efficiency by the crisis (retiring older planes, for instance).

The Economist: "Covid-19 has devastated global travel and -- as the industry recovers from the effects of the pandemic -- tourism will be increasingly localised and complicated. This won’t just affect foreign holidays; it could disrupt the workings of the globalised world. Read more here.
