New Albany is a state of mind … but whose? Since 2004, we’ve been observing the contemporary scene in this slowly awakening old river town. If it’s true that a pre-digital stopped clock is right twice a day, when will New Albany learn to tell time?

We're hoping to revive a New Albany Beer Week to precede the 2019 Keg Liquors Fest of Ale.
Keg Liquors Fest of Ale will return to the New Albany Riverfront Amphitheater on Saturday, June 1.
Accordingly, there already seems to be sufficient interest in coming together to revive a New Albany Craft Beer Week (or just Beer Week) for the last week in May, with the Fest of Ale serving as a finale and exclamation point -- unless someone decides to sponsor a hangover brunch on Sunday, June 2.
A "beer week" is a locally-oriented tribute to, and celebration of, beer. The idea is that breweries, pubs, restaurants, beer bars and package stores hold events: beer tastings, beer dinners, brewery tours, beer and food pairings and tap takeovers (to name just a few common activities).
Individual establishments organize their own events, and collectively we try to spread the word. There's a discussion underway now, and obviously I'll return in a few weeks to provide more details. For now, mark your calendars. I'm really looking forward to helping establish a tradition with this.
