Greg Phipps will seek a third term as council person.

It's an early announcement by the 3rd district incumbent, one that will be greeted with satisfaction by Jeff Gahan and the local Democratic Party, for whom Phipps has been a stunningly reliable yes-man these past eight years.

There'll be plenty to say about this, but for the moment, it can wait.
