New Albany is a state of mind … but whose? Since 2004, we’ve been observing the contemporary scene in this slowly awakening old river town. If it’s true that a pre-digital stopped clock is right twice a day, when will New Albany learn to tell time?

Rice Bowl Korean Restaurant is a delightful addition to New Albany's diverse dining scene.
You may recall our recent journey to Wisconsin, during which we evaded Harvest Homecoming and were introduced to a marvelous Madison institution known as the Mini Hot Pot.
Armed with this information, be aware that Rice Bowl Korean Restaurant's house specials include two simplified variations on the theme of hot pot, which guests can have cooked in the kitchen and kept warm on a portable tabletop heater, or can cook at the table as in Madison.
The advent of Rice Bowl has been accompanied by almost universally favorable reviews.

The restaurant is located on Grant Line Road, next to Aldi. It's open for business Monday through Thursday from 11:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.; Friday and Saturday 11:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.; and is closed on Sunday.
By the way, in the photo above, I'm examining a bacon-wrapped shrimp, which preceded an entree of K-2 (bibimbap with beef and kimchi).
