Are all atheists simply angry, or just the ones to whom you're listening?, Oliver Burkeman (The Guardian)
Science suggests that atheists are no more prone to anger than people of faith – but everyone believes that they are.
... By contrast, merely not believing in God doesn’t entail believing that religion is the greatest evil the world has ever known, nor even necessarily that religion is any problem at all. It means what it means: not believing in God. And, as this research confirms, that’s something most atheists manage to do without any abnormal levels of anger.
New Albany is a state of mind … but whose? Since 2004, we’ve been observing the contemporary scene in this slowly awakening old river town. If it’s true that a pre-digital stopped clock is right twice a day, when will New Albany learn to tell time?

The purported anger of atheists.
Atheism is an absence of belief, and it has little to do with anger. However, one needn't be an atheist to note the abiding prevalence of "righteous" anger on the part of believers, irrespective of specific doctrinal orientation.
