Roger's Year in Music 2014: 48:13, by Kasabian.

Kasabian has never ceased to entertain, although until recently, something didn't seem to fit. Finally, a few simple truths have dawned on me. While there may be similarities between Kasabian and bands like Oasis attitudinally, they're a generation apart, and cannot be lumped together in terms of the music. Noel Gallagher was (and is) a very old-school songwriter. Sergio Pizzorno is quite new-fashioned. After watching YouTube footage of Kasabian's Glastonbury set in 2014, it all makes sense how Kasabian might credit inspiration for the new album to Kanye West. I am intrigued.
