ReplyDeleteThe furniture arrangement, though, is the most positive development I've seen in a long time. The roots of traffic calming as we know it started in the Netherlands by moving couches and other indoor furniture outdoors and often into the streets themselves in response to a government that at the time wouldn't address the need. When it worked to slow cars, the government began responding positively with more permanent fixtures.
