Longtime NA City Councilman Richard “Dick” Bliss dies, by Chris Morris (News and Tribune)
NEW ALBANY — Richard E. “Dick” Bliss, who formerly represented the 5th District on the New Albany City Council for 24 years, died Sunday at his home. He was 74.
Bliss was also a longtime member of the New Albany Sewer Board, Tree Board and was currently serving on the New Albany Plan Comission and Board of Zoning Appeals.
New Albany is a state of mind … but whose? Since 2004, we’ve been observing the contemporary scene in this slowly awakening old river town. If it’s true that a pre-digital stopped clock is right twice a day, when will New Albany learn to tell time?

R.I.P. Dick Bliss.
The sad news of Dick Bliss's death came across the Facebook wire earlier today, and our thoughts will continue to be with the Bliss family. He was a good man, a builder and a doer. He will be greatly missed in New Albany.
