Look for it soon, and in real life.

  2. I hope this is going to be a giant sculpture at the Farmers Market?!

  3. G, it's going to be nearby and if not giant, substantial.

  4. This is going on display? Why?

  5. Probably on or about Market and State. It's an art project, self-funded. The city need only approve the site. That's all I know.

  6. Public art is great, but I hope this isn't publicly funded. Here's a fork in the road!...right next to all the potholes...

  7. I think it looks stupid

  8. You sure on the self funded bit?

  9. Because I'm pretty sure it's not.

And that's why we always consult him on aesthetic matters, LOL.

All I know is what I'm told, and generally don't doubt ... sound familiar?

  13. That looks like something out of a comic book.

  14. EW, let's narrow the range here. Are you objecting because ...

    (a) Fish gotta swim, birds gotta fly, you gotta bitch?

    (b) From the possibility of public funding?

    (c) You just don't like the look of it?

Or, perhaps all three? If (a), it's old news. If (b), it's legitimate. If (c), it's entirely a matter of personal taste.

  15. i dont like the look of it, I dont oppose public funding of art per se. To me if you want to enhance New Albany's image this piece just makes New albany look more like a city of buffoons. I have nothing against Thrasher, he did a nice eric Clapton album cover piece for me once but this is a joke

  16. "...but this is a joke"

    Exactly. And a fun one.

Next up: tuning fork (that's ironically inaudible)

    "Gimme a C, a bouncy C"
