New Albany is a state of mind … but whose? Since 2004, we’ve been observing the contemporary scene in this slowly awakening old river town. If it’s true that a pre-digital stopped clock is right twice a day, when will New Albany learn to tell time?
I wondered the same thing as I began to notice their signs popping up.
Of course, I also wondered if there was a deliberate decision to delay voting on the ramifications of the budgetary shortfalls until after the filing deadline for school board candidacy. It dawned on me after the meeting how they all said "it was not a surprise" to them...yet, we never heard anything about it until it was too late for candidates to file for the board. Hmmmm.......

ReplyDeleteHow about, "anyone but...an incumbent" or how about, "Thenewalbanian"
The second write-in would likely make the school board meetings much more interesting. O'heck...I am writing in "Thenewalbanian".
Be careful what you ask for. Remember just a few short years ago it was an appointed school board that people desired to have an elected school board.
