  1. If we just cut it, it'll be reform.

So, what happens when you cut it?

If we just cut it, it'll be reform.

I get the cut part. How does cutting make this a better place to live and work?

    It'll be reform.

    How is it reform?

    Because it'll be cut.

But isn't reform about making things better?

    We can make it private.

    What's better about private?

    It's not government.

    But what makes it better?

    It's private.

    Couldn't we make government better?

    It'll be cut.

So cut is better than better?

If we just cut it, it'll be reform.

  3. Not to worry. I've alerted the media that I'll be taking all the credit anyway. Well... most of the credit.

  4. Mitch Daniels said Floyd County "has one of the worst records in Indiana for getting dollars to the classroom.”

To which numbers is he referring?

  5. "Mitch Daniels said Floyd County "has one of the worst records in Indiana for getting dollars to the classroom.”"

And for a governor who ran on the idea that he would be pro-education, I'd say he has one of the worst records in Indiana for getting dollars to classrooms. $300 billion cut this year, and I heard a sound byte today of him saying if the national economy doesn't (magically) turn around in the next year, public schools are going to have a hard time next year. NEXT year? How about they're already having a hard time?

  7. Questions:

    1. What is 1SI's position on Governor's statement?

    2. Are other school districts closing schools? Is there a list of how much was cut from each district in state?

  8. Dan~

    1. I haven't seen a Dalby response since this recent news.

    2. Yes - others are. I just came across one tonight (in the state of Indiana) that is suing.
