New Albany is a state of mind … but whose? Since 2004, we’ve been observing the contemporary scene in this slowly awakening old river town. If it’s true that a pre-digital stopped clock is right twice a day, when will New Albany learn to tell time?

It's one option, but ...
... I hope Cappuccino didn't use a novelty lighter. That's illegal.
A certain yellow house on Main Street now has a YES sign, effective only last night due to Sharpie delays. Hope tomorrow’s rain doesn’t erase my “Bike Lanes” and “2-way streets.” Another Main St. residence will have a YES sign shortly, putting reds and greens about even on Mansion Row.
Cappuccino is the name of the Coffey-like councilman in my imaginary parallel universe.
My sign's been up at home, and two at Bank Street. I've tried the best I can to get the word out, but these are busy times. Alas, we don't have a support infrastructure, do we?
Maybe now's the time to try for a Tribune or C-J story highlighting what's going on among "them people". Are our intrepid newspaper folk reading this? (Don't worry Daniel, the LEO people probably won't scoop you.)
No, but if I write a story Leo might write a summary of it a few months later that would be possibly the most important piece of journalism ever about new albany. A few months ago I saw somebody on here saying they were going to talk with the courier about a story since they did the no one, and I don't fancy being second on the pecking order. Frankly the yes and no, the battle over the blogs, the public pissing matches, I'm not interested in covering any of it. It's childish and just like what's going on between republicans and dems now nationally, it only divides people more and more. Later I'll tell you how I really feel.
Is there progress on the "YES" sign front? Are they being claimed? Unfortunately, besides mine, I've only seen them on Spring, Bank and Pearl.
ReplyDeleteThere is one on Larkwood.
ReplyDeleteMine's been up for a few weeks now on Elm St...
ReplyDeleteTheres one on Silver.
ReplyDeletePete had said when I picked up mine that there were "plenty more"...
We need to get these out there!
Where does "Cappuccino" come from?

If anyone has photos, please consider sending them. I'm going to try to take some photos as well.
