New Albany is a state of mind … but whose? Since 2004, we’ve been observing the contemporary scene in this slowly awakening old river town. If it’s true that a pre-digital stopped clock is right twice a day, when will New Albany learn to tell time?

I'd have expected this in NA, but perhaps New Bethel will franchise the idea.
Hmmm...it seems that speaking out (for or against) political issues can cost churches their tax-exempt status...perhaps this should be reported to the IRS.
I saw this pastor on television tonight. He said that this was a time to celebrate our second amendment rights.
Okay, if people want to celebrate their second amendment rights, that is fine and dandy. That is purely political right; it has NOTHING to do with religion and faith and no church has any business doing such a thing. I cannot imagine Jesus being at an event celebrating amendment rights of any sort. Ugh!
John I saw him too. The statement that stuck out to me was when he said they "aren't preaching the gospel here, this is about rights" and then at the end of the interview he said "not all denominations are pacifists".
Unloaded?
ReplyDeleteThey don't even trust themselves!

ReplyDeletePontius Pilate's attorneys should call these folks as witnesses for the defense.
ReplyDeleteI am sure that they are following some well known Biblical citations found in Matthew 29 and Psalm 151.
ReplyDeleteThis is disgusting

I guess I take my religion too seriously.
