My pal "anonymous" posted the following on Mrs. Baird's blog.
I think it's funny. Maybe you will, too.
---
The difference between NAC and FOS.
a.) NAC does not put facts on his blog. Case in point: He's been ranting about redistricting, but didn't our council pass an ordinance which makes his blog his opinion not fact?
b.) If he does not like what you state he attacks you, so he's dealing with his opinion not based on fact.
c.) His vocabulary is slightly warped and full of vengeance
d.) I researched blog ,do you know what it says? You are to have very few links, it is a well known fact that what NAC post does not mean people are reading what he post. It just means people click on NAC for the links not his words.
e.) So I challenge NAC to take the links off and lets see who is reading his crap.
Fact is NAC has been after Councilman Coffey and Steve Price for years, which proves my point it's personal. At least FOS backs their postings up with laws, facts and what individuals say.
f.) When reading NAC do you like others shake your head and say: what the f**k is he even saying? Most of the time like I stated before it's his opinion and never much substance.
g.)How many times have you read FOS and said to yourself, I feel the same way. I have several times.
Just like Shirley's blog here. She allows us to vent, give our thoughts, opinions and that's good for all of us.
But my thought are, don't try to force his/NAC opinions on others.
h.) As for grammar, I've checking his words and someone needs to explain to him his grammar is not so good either and the tribune has to place a disclaimer to keep from being sued.
I.) In fact, Roger's stumbling, fumbling, and endless searching for words have caused him many enemies.
As I once heard; you can form opinions without having to get the facts.

Read as psychological transference it probably accurately describes the writer.
ReplyDeleteFor a “college professor,” FOS is extremely unsophisticated, both in terms of literary style and political arguments. Besides, I didn’t know Main St. B&Bs offered college degrees. We should host a blogger party and invite the good professor. Would she show?
ReplyDeleteI propose that NAC rent out the Admiral Bicknell Inn (an establishment that caters to such events) for a local blogger Summit. I’m curious to meet this professor. I hope that would be a convenient location.
ReplyDeleteSomething about sleeping dogs, or snoozing poseurs ... can't remember.
ReplyDeleteIt still fascinates me that someone would work so hard to misinform so much to accomplish so little.
ReplyDeleteThanks for making me laugh out loud. I needed that.
ReplyDeleteJeff, I’m sure the good professor means well. I blame the FOS staff. Surely it’s the staff’s fault.
ReplyDeleteThought it was really interesting that the writer failed to mention that FOS is a liar and/or thief.
ReplyDeleteIt's been proven many times that a lot of what is posted there is stolen from other sources. Not to mention the professor of political science farce. Or that he, she, they do not put their names on the line.
Mark
How you can trust a proven liar, thief and coward is beyond me.
It still fascinates me how incredibly dysfunctional it is for FOS to not have comments, meaning that the people agreeing with the nutty professor must do so on an entirely different blog, where they also respond to writings on this blog, because they're too frightened to disclose their own identities.
ReplyDeleteThat's the New Albany Syndrome, writ large. Satirist asks why there can't be a blogging summit. It's not because we wouldn't attend, is it?
Good stuff . . . How do you stand yourself, Roger?
ReplyDeleteBut I can't stand myself at all. I'm told that's why I have a drinking problem, torture puppies and use big words that functional illiterates can't understand.
ReplyDeleteSeriously ... I do it all by the book. Earlier I was disparaged for my grammar and vocab skills. And yet, three separate entities actually pay me to write articles for them. Gee, why would they do that if my grammar's bad?
All I do is sit on my ass and blog ... hmm, wonder how my business has been rated among the country's finest, something that eludes most other area businesses of any sort.
My always anonymous critics crow about the American way, and yet their viewpoint is far more in keeping with the objective of socialist societies, which is to pull everyone down to a lowest-common-denominator existence and to resent anyone who succeeds, whether at personal education, or business, or anything else.
Unfortunately for the city, their hatchet instincts have two and perhaps more adherents on a council that actually might accomplish something good if iot could distance itself from the perception that the minority of its members speak for the majority of citizens.
Rail on, troglodytes. I need good laughs.
Roger,
ReplyDeleteDrinking problem? Not keeping a well run business?
What would inspire the Professor to such ideas?

Such peotic writing! Such zeal and zest to attack you.SCREEEEEEEEEECH! (slam on the brakes)
ReplyDeleteWas that not the jest of the point that captain anonymous was trying to make?
That Roger is a person bent on vengence, and does so by verbally attacking, and eviscerating his prey in manuscripts, but yet Captain anonymous, had just done the exact same thing. Hypocrisy anyone?
I do not always agree with what Roger says, and he at least allows his readers to publicly post rebuttals to his opinions, unlike FOS.
And personally, his entertaining and often educational writing style is what brings me back to his blog time and time again.
By the way...
ReplyDeleteTwo kudos to the first kid in the class that can point out the irony in the following quote from the anti-baylor ranting-
"h.) As for grammar, I've checking his words and someone needs to explain to him his grammar is not so good either and the tribune has to place a disclaimer to keep from being sued."
I find it very difficult to:
ReplyDeleteRespect a blog where the person writing the blog chooses to remain anonymous.
Respect a blogger who does not allow comments.
Respect people who comment on blogs who choose to remain anonymous.
Respect people who chastise others for being too literate.
More links please...
ReplyDelete"Fact is NAC has been after Councilman Coffey and Steve Price for years, which proves my point it's personal."
ReplyDeleteDuh...I take it personally that these two seem to be out in front trying to stop any type of movement towards a better community. My question would be, why doesn't the FOS 'staff' want New Albany to grow and prosper?
And since I know their 'staff' reads this, I'm still waiting for my question of why they have such a hard on for Mr. Baylor to be answered. Surely one of the '30 staff members' can take the time to answer that. Perhaps one of 'them' can take a break from the eternal lip lock on Mr. Price's behind?
