In case you may have missed the e-mail, Treet's Bakery & Cafe (133 E. Market, downtown) has new fall hours:
Monday through Friday: 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Saturday: 8:00 a.m. to Noon for the home-made breakfast buffet.
More information from Teresa:
We now have delivery service for Downtown New Albany, Monday through Friday, too! Order by 11:00 a.m. for scheduled delivery 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. There's a two lunch minimum and we will accept payment by check or cash.
Yeah - Cappucino's AND new York Times within walking distance after 5.
ReplyDeleteTeresa has been proactive in making these new evening hours a reality, extending to our patrons the use of the store for book groups.
ReplyDeleteTreet's is a sublime venue for any discussion group, whether it be about books, community issues, or any other. Coffee and healthy treats in the evening fit extremely well into my admittedly mercantile lifestyle.
The staffing complement and the adaptability of the Market St. space make it ideal for meetings of all kinds, and Teresa's stated hours fit pretty darn well with most communitarian confabs.
And thank you, T, for reaching out to us to "partner." That's precisely the kind of cooperative effort that we've been working for since late 2004. We are in this together. And thanks to all of you who are using your discretion to vote with your feet (and wallets) to make sure the core business district becomes the cream in the eclair instead of the hole in the doughnut!
While we're on the subject...it has been a LOOOONG time since we've held a community forum. Wouldn't Treet's be a great venue for a public affairs symposium? I propose an early November symposium on the negative impacts of sprawl. Or those who are finishing NeighborWorks training could present a report on how personal investment can be transferred to multiply the benefits of communitarian instincts.
