Surreal senseless is true. I have no thoughts other than the fact that this is such a sad, sad story that has left a tragic wake.
ReplyDeleteAngry Teen boy + high powered rifle = too many deaths in this country. Either we deal with our mental health issues, or use some more gun control, or what? Senseless - no, deeply regrettable - yes.
ReplyDeleteThe gun control issue is so important today, and this event rockets it to the top of our wish list.
ReplyDeleteSheriff Darrell Mills says the officer's family will be taken care of and I believe him. But, there is also a fund set up at the Harrison County Bank Floyds Knobs location. Also, a community blood drive in honor of Officers White and Denzinger is being held Thursday at Wesley Chapel Church from noon to 8 p.m.
And read the Tribune article and support the Youth Count initiative. This is more important now than ever.

Even if it is only a couple of dollars. It is not the money that matters, it is the knowledge for Tara, and their child to know that the community cares.
Deputies Denzinger and White have done their duty for US, Frank Denzinger paid the ultimate price.
