A Picture's Worth

A few of you may have noticed that I've been slacking in my editorial duties lately. Quite frankly, the mentality so consistently displayed by the Gang of Four and the SOLNA-based crank corps has left me struggling to find loquacity enough to portray the preposterousness of it all. There're only so many ways to say stupid, even in New Albany.

In a desperate solicitation of my sorely missed muse, I fed the word "idiot" into a thesaurus. What follows below will undoubtedly look like a list of synonyms to most readers. Given the week's worth of anguish and ennui that went into its realization, however ultimately simple, I prefer to think of it as poetry.

fool
ass
halfwit
dunce
dolt
ignoramus
cretin
moron
imbecile
simpleton
dope
ninny
nincompoop
chump
dimwit
dumbo
dummy
dum-dum
loon
dork
sap
jackass
blockhead
jughead
bonehead
knucklehead
fathead
numbskull
numbnuts
dumb-ass
doofus
clod
dunderhead
ditz
lummox
dipstick
thickhead
meathead
meatball
woodenhead
airhead
pinhead
lamebrain
peabrain
birdbrain

donkey
nitwit

boob
twerp
schmuck
bozo
turkey
chowderhead
dingbat

And then I got really inspired and decided to just show you:

Feel free to recite the poem again, speaking out loud of course.

  1. My husband designed the logo for the wetlands--he mentioned to me the other day that someone had stuck a sticker on one of the new signs Al had just gotten installed, and he thought it was bad judgement on the part of the person who applied it.

I don't mind the campaign stickers, but they need to go where intended--on bumpers.

  2. I didn't know Steve Brown designed that logo...I really like it! I agree - defacing art or esthetics for political purposes is stupid...when we have soooooooo many hideous structures available for de-facing!

  3. You are correct my friend, a picture is worth untold thousands of words!

In this instance it's "Priceless" in that those folks who need to see this message either can't read or comprehend the written word!

Perhaps a full color graphic will do the trick? But no, that would require the ability to reason which is definitely lacking in some hereabouts.

But trudge on you must, for if even one more soul gets the idea, your efforts pay off.
