The Indiana Walk Summit is August 27 and 28 in Indianapolis.

Too bad we don't have a train to get us to Indy.

It's worth the time to take a look at the program, because it provides an overview of pertinent matters to be considered, with health, attractiveness and economic development chief among them.

It sounds suspiciously like "quality of life," a phrase we enjoy deploying in New Albany, but not defining. Note that when I prattle on about walkability and bikeability, that's exactly what I'm doing: Defining it.

Communities throughout Indiana and across the nation are making themselves healthier, more attractive to residents and visitors, and economically stronger by increasing walkability.
