Plymouth Day 11: Garden detox.

After the day-long pub crawl in Totnes on Saturday, Sunday was destined to be a very slow day. It was the time for repacking in preparation for the train to London on Monday morning, and quite frankly, some detox was required.

There was an afternoon meal and quite a bit of laziness in the garden, a corner of which is given over to Tony's aviary, seen to the rear of the photo. Interestingly, he breeds racing pigeons; I learned that two words considered impolite to pigeon breeders are "peregrine falcons." Tony also introduced us to a noteworthy British sit-com from former times: Only Fools and Horses.

I nursed some white wine and even drank a can of lager. You do what you gotta do.

(The account of our visit to the UK is being posted piecemeal, backdated to the actual day)
