Human Rights Commission at Facebook.

The New Albany Human Rights Commission now has a Facebook page.

Members and their e-mail addresses are listed at the city's web site, but as yet, there doesn't seem to be an "official" HRC site branching from the city's.

The page doesn't seem to exist; Facebook is kinda funny about pages that aren't individual personal pages. Many such exist, but I have seen them taken down before.

I'm trying to find out how I can get involved.

It was there before. I saw it. Nudge me after the holidays and I'll see what I can find out.

Facebook often takes down pages that don't correspond to a "person", so I imagine that is what happened. I sent Greg Phipps a friend request hoping to find out more information about the HRC's meeting schedule, but my name being unfamiliar to him, I see that he understandably ignored it. I have sent him a message, but Facebook dumps those into the "Other" bucket so I am not certain it will be seen.

I can forward your particulars to Greg if you wish. We are in regular communication and he lives two doors down. I have learned that the site was taken down because the city didn't think it was appropriate quite yet, or something similar. Write to me at roger(at)newalbanian(dot)com
