INDOT wanted to shut the bridge down last week for a period of 6 weeks so they could finish construction without having to worry about traffic. They received a lot of opposition locally, sooooooo they found cracks ... bridge closed indefinitely ... or about 6 weeks ...

INDOT's Folly, Volume 1: Six wonderful weeks.
Compartmentalization does not preclude merrily contributing to the rumorama, and so here goes the first offering, as sent to me by a local official who shall remain nameless.

This is all hard to believe. I-65 will be an hour to cross on Monday. ARe we being punished?
