Jon Stewart and Mike Huckabee’s "hocus pocus logic."

Winks and nods to LEO’s Fat Lip blog for pointing the way to this illuminating piece at The Huffington Post, which includes video.

Jon Stewart, Mike Huckabee Clash Over Gay Marriage

Fat Lip hooked me with a reference to Stewart as, “the modern-day Mencken.”

Now that’s credibility.

I watched this episode when it origionally aired the other night, then when they replayed it the next day at two.

I watched it twice to try and understand exactly how Huckabee was justifying his argument, plus Jon looks mighty fine when he's in "the zone".

I cannot wrap my head around peoples opposition to this. It is so very, very sad.

Courtney, here's my personal reason for not being able to understand opposition to this.

It's because when we hear Huckabee say that 60-odd percent of people oppose it, we know that 50-odd years ago, a higher percentage opposed interracial marriage of heterosexuals.

And, further back, we know that 98%believed the world is flat.
